BaykedFarm

Your Biggest Compliance Cost Isn’t Your Software

It’s the hours your team spends writing things down, entering them twice and fixing what broke.

Takes 60 seconds. No email required.

METRC Corrections

Manifests

How we calculate this
  • A salaried person's hourly cost is their monthly salary × 12 ÷ hours.
  • Compliance labor: each person's hourly cost × the hours they spend on compliance a day × workdays a year.
  • Corrections and manifests: the count per week × minutes each ÷ 60 × weeks × your team's average hourly cost, salaried and hourly together.
  • Savings: less compliance labor, plus manifest time: we count the minutes each of yours takes over minutes, the time a manifest takes with BaykedFarm.
  • Corrections count toward your cost, not toward your savings.
  • Each line rounds to the dollar, and the total is their sum. An empty field counts as 0. Nothing you enter is stored or sent.

Compliance Isn’t Just Time. It’s Multiplied Labor.

Every manual step doesn’t cost one person one minute. It costs several people, several times, across several systems.

At Harvest

One person weighs and writes. Another re-enters it from a blurry photo into a spreadsheet and METRC. Two people, four touch points, one chance for an error.

At Distribution

Manifests need to be right and fast. When the data upstream is wrong, drivers sit in the lot and customers sit on hold.

At Audit Time

Most operations don’t audit. They get audited, and the scramble starts: old spreadsheets, weights that don’t reconcile, records rebuilt after the fact.

None of this shows up on a single invoice. It hides in your payroll.

The Standard Playbook, and Why It Costs You

Walk through any licensed facility doing it the manual way and you’ll see the same thing.

  1. Weights are written on paper at the harvest station.
  2. Someone texts a photo to the METRC specialist, who transcribes the handwriting and hopes nothing got cut off.
  3. The numbers are rebuilt in a spreadsheet, plant data is pulled from METRC, and a CSV goes up in chunks when the upload times out.
  4. Labels print. Something doesn’t match. They get reprinted.
  5. Two weeks later METRC throws a tag error, and someone corrects it after the fact.
  6. Manifests are built by hand, checked by hand and sent late.
  7. Revenue per harvest? Nobody knows until accounting catches up at month end.

All of it runs on tools that are clunky, disconnected and not built for the people doing the work.

How BaykedFarm Works

Capture. Validate. Sync.

Three steps. No double entry. No cleanup later. Data goes from the source into METRC the right way, the first time.

01

Capture at Source

Press print and the weight is already in the BaykedFarm cloud. Lose internet? It captures locally and syncs when you’re back.

02

Validate Before METRC

Data is checked inside BaykedFarm before it touches METRC, so bad data is caught here, not after it has caused a compliance flag.

03

Sync Automatically

Clean data pushes to METRC. Manifests are tied to the actual harvest batch records, invoices follow, and everything traces back to one system.

Full seed-to-sale coverage: nursery, flowering, harvest, processing, manufacturing and distribution. One system. All of it.

The System

Not Just Software. The BaykedStation.

BaykedFarm is an integrated hardware and software workstation built around real facility workflows — not spreadsheets, not generic POS systems, not workarounds. Your field crew shouldn’t need an IT department to run it.

Computer + Monitor

A dedicated workstation, purpose-built for compliance workflows.

Connected Scale

Weight flows straight into the system, not into a notebook.

Barcode Scanner

Scan METRC tags in. No typing tag numbers by hand.

Label Printer

Print compliant labels from the same system, with fewer reprints.

Every BaykedStation is set up and installed by our team. You don’t get a login and a YouTube tutorial. You get a working station, configured for your facility, on day one, running on crop.baykedfarm.com: one system for every piece of seed-to-sale data your facility generates.

The Team Behind the System

The System Handles Your Data. We Handle METRC.

Most software companies hand you a tool and wish you luck. We don’t.

On Full Service plans, BaykedFarm includes a trained remote compliance team who handle METRC data entry, manifest creation and reconciliation for you. They’ve worked with us since 2021. Emily trained them on a 40-acre farm with 185 cultivation licenses: in the field, under pressure, with the farm owner watching. They stay current on METRC Learn requirements every year.

They work remotely. They never set foot in your facility, and they can’t touch your product. In cannabis, that matters.

Built in the Field Because It Had To Be

In 2021, Emily was handed 185 cultivation licenses on a 40-acre farm in California, and nothing on the market could handle it.

First harvest: weights written by hand in a notebook, photos texted from the field, transcribed to Excel, converted to CSV and chopped into chunks small enough for METRC not to time out — uploaded and re-uploaded while the farm owner watched his freshly harvested plants sit in the sun. It took four to five people on the field and four more off-site to hold it together.

Kapono built the first version of BaykedFarm that same season because he had to. It ran on Windows and a prayer. “Don’t touch anything you’re not supposed to” was a real instruction.

That Was Version 1.

Version 7 is what five years of real-world iteration looks like. On that same farm, on a typical day, one person on the field runs two devices and one VA handles everything remotely.

No investors. No product roadmap written by people who’ve never touched cannabis. Just a system that works because it had to.

Most operators are surprised. Not because the math is complicated, but because they’ve never seen it written down.
