Cannabis Compliance Consulting That Gets You Audit-Ready
We train your crew, reconcile your records against METRC and stand beside you when the inspector arrives, so you can keep running the operation.
Bay Kinetic is a cannabis compliance consulting firm for licensed cultivators, processors, manufacturers and distributors. We prepare your team for inspections, audit your records against METRC before a regulator does, and support you on inspection day and after it. Nearly half of our active clients also process, manufacture or distribute, so we build the work around your license type, not just the farm.
Licenses: held by Bay Kinetic clients in California, New York and Washington, DC, all years; platform and CRM records, Oct 2026. Manifest time: one California farm, measured, 2021 vs 2025. Read the case study.
Cannabis Compliance Services: Three Ways We Keep You Audit-Ready
Compliance Training & Workshops
Sessions for cultivation, processing, manufacturing and distribution teams, built around the audit you’re facing.
Internal Audit & Compliance Review
We check what’s on hand against METRC and review every filed document before a regulator does.
Inspection Support
A specialist beside you during the inspection, and updated SOPs and records after it.

Cannabis Compliance Training for Your Crew
Your crew is who the inspector talks to. When the questions start, the answers have to come from the people doing the work, not from the binder. We train each team on the rules that apply to its license and its job, then rehearse the inspection with them so the first time they hear the questions isn’t the real one.
- Local and state regulations: what your jurisdiction requires, and how to show you’re meeting it.
- Department-specific sessions: separate tracks for cultivation, processing and manufacturing, and distribution.
- Hands-on workshops: walk-throughs that rehearse the audit before it happens.
A Cannabis Audit Before the Regulator’s
We review your records the way an inspector would, find the gaps, and hand you a plan to close them. Most gaps don’t come from cutting corners. They come from growth: volume goes up, staff change, a process shifts and the SOP doesn’t.
- Gap analysis: every submitted document reviewed to make sure it’s current.
- Inventory reconciliation: what’s on hand, matched against what METRC says is on hand. It’s the most common gap we find. If you’d rather catch it every day, BaykedFarm checks weights, tags and manifests before they reach METRC.
- Corrective action plan: every loose end listed, owned and dated, so you’re back in compliance before the visit.
- SOPs
- Batch production records
- Chain of custody
- Security protocols
- Training records
- GMP certifications
- METRC records

Support Before, During and After the Inspection
- Pre-inspection review: a detailed compliance assessment before regulators arrive.
- On-site inspection assistance: we’re in the room, handling questions as they come up.
- Follow-up reporting: updated SOPs, compliance records and background checks after the inspection.

A Cannabis Compliance Consultant Who’s Done the Filings
Emily Curry, co-founder of Bay Kinetic, leads our compliance consulting. She started in licensing in 2020, helped secure 187 California cannabis licenses within her first six months, and has handled hundreds of DCC license filings since.
We were able to 5x the weight we were able to harvest and manifest in a day. The system lets the farm team choose what sections to harvest on the fly, so we’re able to adjust according to customer needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Cannabis Compliance Questions
What does a cannabis compliance consulting firm do?
We make sure your records, your team and your premises would hold up to an inspection today. That means training your crew, auditing your documents and METRC inventory, fixing what we find, and supporting you during and after the inspection itself.
What happens in a free compliance audit?
It’s a remote interview with one of our compliance consultants. We walk through your operation the way an inspector would, help you spot the gaps in your compliance, and tell you what it would take to close them. There’s no site visit and no obligation.
Do you work with processors, manufacturers and distributors, or only cultivators?
All four. Nearly half of our active clients also process, manufacture or distribute, and our training and audits are split by license type.
Where do you work?
California, New York and Washington, DC. In New York we support operators who already hold an OCM license; we don’t take on new New York applications at this time.
Can you be on site during an inspection?
Yes. A specialist can be in the room to handle questions as they come up, then help you update SOPs and records afterward. Outside California, on-site support is available with travel expenses billed to the client.
Do we have to use your software to work with you?
No. Consulting stands on its own. Many clients add BaykedFarm so their METRC records stay clean between audits.
