Stalled Applications Cost You a Harvest

Some clients come to us after years of unsuccessful applications. Every loose thread means missed harvest revenue or halted operations while fixed costs keep coming.

How Approval Works

Three Stages to a California License

Land Use

The right location and permit type: CUP, LUP or Development Agreement.

Local Operations

Four county departments review your project. We know what each one needs.

State Review

A complete DCC application, with CEQA and agency sign-offs in place.

Land Use

The wrong location can sink a project before it starts. Whether you need a CUP, LUP or Development Agreement, we show exactly why your project meets the land use code.

Four Departments. One Application That Satisfies All

Change the project without knowing how it affects each department’s review, and you hit reset on the project every time. We know what each department needs, and which changes get you the permit without starting over.

Agricultural Commissioner

Your IPM plan and the inputs you’ll use.

Environmental Health

Worker safety, and how chemicals are stored and reported.

Sheriff’s Office

Your security plan and employee background checks.

County Sealer

The Sealer of Weights and Measures reviews your weights and measures program.

State Review Without the Back-and-Forth

Once submitted, your application is reviewed for completeness, honesty and accuracy. Agents see thousands of applications a year, and turnover at state agencies can mean your project is reassigned or lost in the shuffle.

We worked inside a license holder’s operation before MAUCRSA passed in 2016. We know what a reviewer will ask for before they ask.

State approval depends on your local permits, the CEQA checklist and, for cultivation, sign-offs from the State Water Resources Control Board and the Department of Fish and Wildlife. The agent for your area inspects before the license is issued, and our relationships with regional agents get your application to the person who can move it forward.

What We File

  • New applications
  • Annual renewals
  • Amendments and modifications
  • Lapsed provisionals, refiled as annual applications
Provisional licenses are no longer effective in California. If yours lapsed, it’s a new annual application, and we file those too.
